The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Inc. is a non-profit civic and community based organization that serves as a catalyst for the disadvantaged and under represented segments of the community. The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Inc. serves as a beacon of leadership by utilizing our diverse talents to create an environment where our children are motivated to achieve. Additionally, we empower people so that they become self-sufficient participants in the economic fabric of Broward County. The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Inc. is committed to serving our community based upon the following principles: Respect for Family, Justice, and Integrity.
Our focus is to provide more educational opportunities for our youth with an emphasis on strengthening their self awareness. Our youth are our future and the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale makes a substantial investment in that future. In addition to youth development, the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale develops programs that are more family focused. We understand the strength of a healthy family nucleus and the positive impact it has on our children. The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale also takes an active role in improving its communities with a focus in the Northwest section of Fort Lauderdale. Understanding this area is revitalizing and has a heavy concentration of our youth; it offers the perfect opportunity for our organization to establish meaningful partnerships working to improve the community
The mission of the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale is to improve the quality of life of African/Caribbean American families through the enhancement of educational and economic opportunities within our community. Ultimately they strive to create a paradigm shift that will guarantee economic equality for every family of African descent.
The 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale is a chapter within the 100 Black Men of America. The 100 Black Men of America is an international organization with over 100 chapters. Starting in 1963, the 100 Black Men of America continues to positively influence the lives of African Americans.
